Laura Dekker, the 14-year-old Dutch teenager who’s attempting to produce a solo trip across the planet, was met with a lot more obstacles this week when a Dutch kid care agency demanded that the teenager wait one more year prior to embarking on her journey. The agency was concerned about Dekker’s emotional improvement.
Soon after the current drama involving 16-year-old Abby Sunderland, who was briefly lost at sea whilst attempting exactly the same journey, along with the resulting debate about no matter whether or not she need to have already been permitted to go within the very first location, it is no surprise that authorities will be hesitant to approve a considerably younger teenager for the trip.
